ILG created two web based products: The first was a directory based web search site (similar to Yahoo back in the day), and the second was a templated website for radio stations. Interaction Architects did all the interaction and visual design for ILG and its clients. During the ILG + IA partnership, I worked not only as the lead interaction designer, but also on day-to-day company operations. I focused the team on improving our processes, documentation, digital asset management, and design and development integration.
GOALS:
- Create a search website that could be easily custom branded for any ILG client
- Create website framework for radio stations to license and customize
ACTIONS:
- Conducted competitive analysis of the landscape
- Created user-task flow charts
- Designed web page wireframes
- Provided visual design guidance and direction
- Authored interaction design specifications documents
- Partnered with ILG management in creating a business plan used to seek venture funding
RESULTS:
- ILG was acquired by another company before any of its products went public
